Since 2019, KADRA has been helping women build friendships and achieve goals
KADRA: What’s In A Name?
Kadra is a phonetic, feminized spelling of the word “cadre,” meaning a group of people having a unifying relationship. At Kadra, we are all about community. We lift each other up and make each other stronger. Together, we are more than simply the sum of our parts. We are strong, creative, and more dynamic when we work together than when we work alone.
Our Story
Donene and Haley are great friends with similar interests and passions. The two met at Sacramento State, and learned quickly they shared a fondness for running, wine, and entrepreneurship. Donene and Haley started riding bikes together, sharing books and making pedicure dates.
It is rare to make a friend as an adult—rare, and awesome! Donene and Haley hatched the idea to expand their growth mindset and supportive friendship to other women, and Kadra was born in 2019.
